Bobby Dewayne Poole, age 64, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2020 after a month
long stay in the hospital. Bobby was born in Anna Illinois on August 31, 1956 to Shirley Crouch
and Clifford Poole. He married his highschool sweetheart, Karen Lee Katona, in September of
1974.
He joined the Marine Corp in 1973 until 1976. He then went on to be a truck driver for the
foodservice industry, advancing to a director of Transportation until he retired in 2016.
Bobby was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. His family meant everything to him. He
had a love for music, playing guitar, and singing. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf. His
friends and loved ones will remember the good times had playing music in the basement and
the garage. He will be so greatly missed.
Surviving are his wife Karen(Katona), his son Aaron Poole, two daughters Leslie Poole, and
Monica(Jim VanEtten), and six grandkids, Bailey Poole, Alexandria Poole, Peyton Poole, Ella
VanEtten, Hunter VanEtten, and Madison VanEtten as well as his two sisters Toni Cunningham
and Sherri Lemons and nephews and niece.
He was proceeded in death by his sister Rita Poole, his mother Shirley Poole, and his father
Clifford Poole.
Plans for a Celebration of Life will be arranged at a later time.
