Ronald A Schier left a message on February 19, 2019:
Ray the Warrior I miss you my friend… I believe that God gave you a Warrior heart because you were born into a body at war with itself. You lived the life of a true Warrior. You embodied qualities of strength, courage and determination. Many times you were forced to see life in terms of confrontations and rising to the challenge. You found causes to serve, struggles to overcome, and battles to be won. You brought joy and life into our home and a highest sense of integrity to all those around you. One of the greatest strengths you exemplified to my family was that of patience. You allowed yourself to be content as well as pause, wait, endure and allow things to unfold in their own way. Being a Warrior enabled you to be absolutely genuine every moment of your life. In my eyes, your spirit was never broken. You bought laughter and kinship to my children and my home. We fondly remember all the times at Cue Camp, the weekends at your house or ours where you would light up the room with your enthusiasm and humor. You were always the first on the dance floor and last to leave! I will always remember the joy, the love beyond feeling that resonated within your parents as they spoke of you and looked proudly at you. A warrior’s presence always strengthens those around him. Barb’s love for you, her warrior son, has always been one of iron being forged in fire. As the fires of hell pounded and struck repeatedly, she was strengthened and able to withstand every battle with you, her Warrior son. You are a good son, a good brother to my daughters, and a good friend to me. You were always the one that we could trust, you cared deeply about everyone, and my family became your family. I stand here today blessed in the opportunity to have stood beside you, to have been loved by you and to witness your absolute courage. “Courage, above all things, is the first quality of a warrior.” – Clausewitz Rest my Warrior friend, for you are now and always will be complete in Him. I look to the day to see you in the hallowed halls of Valhalla with the rest of my Warrior friends. With Love and Respect, Ronald A. Schier LTC (Ret), U.S. Army
