They spent time in various duty stations in the United States and upon his retirement they moved back to England where he worked as a Chef for the Whispering Sands NCO Club. Kohler loved to go on long drives. He also loved to watch TV. He enjoyed Sci-Fi shows and really loved the movie “Alien”. Then again he also loved the movie “The Wizard of Oz”. He was an interesting man. He enjoyed having a beer and spending time with his family. His family was the most important thing to him. Along with his wife, he would travel back to England a couple of times a year up until he became too ill to travel. He loved England and was always happy to be able to go back to visit family.
Every day, you would find him reading the newspaper. He loved to keep up with all that was going on in the world. A hard working man, he worked two jobs for most of his life. He wanted to provide for his family and made sure they always had all that they needed and wanted. He was a loving, good man who put his family first.
